New Miss Star Hellas and Miss Hellas 2008

Last Night Monday (May 26):-
Dionisia Koukiou (left photo), a 22-year old student from Athens, was crowned Star Hellas 2008 during an event held on May 26th. Dionisia stands 1.78 m tall and will represent Greece at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam.

Her 1st runner-up was Ria Antoniou, who will represent Greece at the Miss International 2008 pageant in Macau next November.

Crowned as Miss Hellas 2008 was Angeliki Kalaitzi, who will compete at the Miss World 2008 contest in Ukraine next October. Her 1st runner-up was Sofia Roditi.

The Star Hellas - Miss Hellas pageant (Greek: ΣΤΑΡ ΕΛΛΑΣ - ΜΙΣ ΕΛΛΑΣ) is the longest-running beauty competition pageant in Greece, in which the Star Hellas winner goes on to represent Greece at Miss Universe and the Miss Hellas winner goes to Miss World. The second runner-up goes on to represent Greece at Miss Earth. Other contestants compete in Miss International and Miss Europe pageants. Since 1989, the pageant is aired every year on Greece's private network ANT1.
