Miss Universe Japan 2010 Finalists

The Miss Universe Japan Organization was created in 1998 in response to Japan's recent lack of finalists at the Miss Universe pageant.

Miss Universe Janpan 2010 pageant will be held March 9, 2010. The winner will be crowned by outgoing titleholder Miss Universe Japan 2009, Emiri Miyasaka. There are 14 beautiful finalists vying for the crown.

New Beauty Queen will responsible for selecting the country's representatives to the Miss Universe 2010.

Emiri Miyasaka wins Miss Universe Japan 2009

TOKYO: Emiri Miyasaka, a beautiful 24 year-old crowned Miss Universe Japan 2009 during the final competition in Tokyo on May 11, 2009.

Miyasaka, a new beauty queen stand 171 cm tall, will represent the country at the Miss Universe beauty pageant.

Miss Universe 2009, the 58th Miss Universe beauty pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza, from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008, will crown her successor in the event.

Miss Universe Japan 2009, Emiri Miyasaka will be wearing a modern, fashionable adaptation of the traditional Japanese Kimono during the costume competition of the Miss Universe 2009 beauty pageant. According to Ines Ligron, her director, it took 7 designers to execute the costume It was directed by Yoshiyuki Ogata, the designer of the red samurai costume which won best national costume with Kurara Chibana in 2006.
