Hagatna girl crowned Miss Universe Guam 2009

HAGATNA: A beauty Hagatna girl, Racine Manley was crowned Miss Universe Guam 2009 during the pageant held at the Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort in Tamuning on 31th May 2009.

The 1.68 m-tall beauty Guam will represent her territory in 2009 Miss Universe Pageant.

Miss Universe 2009 , the 58th Beauty Universe Pageant, will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, in Nassau, Bahamas on August 23, 2009. Dayana Mendoza , from Venezuela, winner of Miss Universe 2008 , will crown her successor in the event.

Guam's best placement in Miss Universe's history came in 1982, when Patty Chong Kerkos placed 1st runner-up, in Lima, Peru. While Karen Dianne Baldwin of Canada was crowned Miss Universe 1982.
