Miss Lafayette 2009 Sunday afternoon at UL's Angelle Hall.
The 4th annual scholarship competition, Miss Lafayette and Lafayette's Outstanding Teen 2009 was held on Febuary 01, 2009 at the University of Louisiana's Angelle Hall.
Eleven contestants competed for the Outstanding Teen, while 12 women competed to be crowned Miss Lafayette.
Final pageant, LSU student Kenley Michew took the title of Miss Lafayette 2009.
Contestant Christa McCann was named Miss Acadiana.
Logan Travis, a 16-year-old Amite native, was named Outstanding Teen.
Travis will also compete in the Louisiana Outstanding Teen pageant.
Each winning contestant received a $500 scholarship.
The Miss Lafayette winner will compete in the Miss Louisiana pageant.
Outstanding Teen contestant Madelyn Kelly won the crowd over and received the People's Choice Award.
