Miss Tourism Vietnam 2008

Miss Tourism Vietnam (Vietnamese: Hoa hậu du lịch Việt Nam) is the first significant event with a nationwide large-scale and will be held annually. The contest was held the first time in 2008.

Phan Thi Ngoc Diem beat 35 contestants to become the new Miss Tourism Vietnam at the pageant’s finale held at Ho Chi Minh City’s Phan Dinh Phung Sports Complex.

In addition to the crown, Diem, a student from the Ho Chi Minh City Foreign Trade University, won a VND100 million (US$5,965) prize and a trip to Europe.

She may represent Vietnam at the 2008 Miss Tourism International.

The first and second runners-up were Nguyen Minh Ngoc Tram from Ben Tre Province and Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao from Hai Phong City respectively.

Awards were also handed out for other categories including Miss Ao Dai, Miss Eloquence, Miss Congeniality and Miss Swimsuit.
