Mrs. Middle East, Armaiti Shahidi Fitzgerald, was crowned Mrs. International 2009 by her husband Lee, Saturday July 18 at the final competition in Skokie, Ill. The pageant, held at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, hosted 48 women from around the globe competing for the title. Fitzgerald will spend her reign as Mrs. International 2009 promoting her platform oral cancer.
